Paul Bangay – Garden Designer
Widely regarded as one of Australia’s finest garden designers, Paul Bangay has been transforming gardens in Australia and abroad for over 25 years. His elegant and distinctive gardens can be found in locations in New York, St Tropez, Normandy, Positano, Jamaica, New Zealand and the Cook Islands.
Favouring strong sight lines and rich detail, Paul’s designs are noted for their timeless simplicity and elegance. Throughout his enduring career, Paul has created gardens for some of the most influential business and entertainment figures.
Paul’s public commissions include the hugely popular Botanica exhibitions, which he created for the Melbourne International Festival for several years. Recently, Paul was commissioned to design the perennial gardens surrounding M Pavilion, a unique cultural hub and events space in the Queen Victoria Gardens.
Paul’s dedication to the community was acknowledged in 2001 when he was awarded the Centenary Medal for his contribution to Australian landscape design.
